Hi, I'm Jesse McNamara and I'm 17. I study Media, Photography and Film Studies at Prior Pursglove.
My preliminary exersize is to produce the front page of a new school/college magazine by using DTP and an image manipulation program (such as Photoshop). It will feature a photograph I have taken of a student in a mdeium close-up with an addition of text such as information and a masthead which are all appropriately laid out.
As well as this, I must produce a DTP mock-up of the layout and contents page for my magazine in order to demostrate my grasp of the program I am going to be using.
As the main task, I have to create the front page, contents page and a double page spread of a new music magazine. I can either work as a group of as an individual, with a maximum of four members to a group. If I choose to work in a group, I have to create an individual edition of the magazine which follows the same housestyle as the other members of the group's magazine.
