Music magazine final.
This is what my music magazine looks like now it has been completed. I decided to go for a black background as I think it has more of a striking effect than a white background.
The style of my magazine was changed throughout the creation of it. Initially, I wanted to go for a rock type magazine but this changed to an indie/hippy type once I took the photos for it. Because I changed it to this style, the contents in the magazine had to suit this. This was done by editing the photos on photoshop to give the background a rainbow effect, and using a pattern in the background of the "contents" title which was done on paint.
Little effects were added to each picture to make it look more professional. For example, I added little flowers on the main image of the contents page and erased the sides from each picture of the contents page to give it a ripped page effect. I think that this looks more effective than a picture with hard sides.

Extra audience & magazine planning & research task
This is my extra audience and magazine planning and research task. It shows what type of person will read my magazine. It details the demographics and VALs of my reader, what interests they have, what types of things they do, what they do in their free time (e.g. listen to music, watch tevelision) and other things in order to outline who my typical reader for my magazine is. It is important to do this for your magazine to be successful as if you don't know your audience and what they want or what they are interested in and include this in your magazine, they probably won't be interested in your magazine

Mood board for Music Magazine
this is my mood board for my music magazine. I created the mood board to help me stick to a theme when creating my magazine and helped me plan out my ideas. I have decided to target a male and female audience but the male is dominant and this is shown through my selection of colours for the house style. The content will include an article about new and old bands on the front page. I want the cover page to include only one image which will be of a single person, and it will be backlit to draw in eye contact. For the article photo, only one image will be used again but it will be fully lit so that it flows more.

This was the questionnaire that I
gave out to people. The questions are phrased to make sure that the answers
would be the answers I needed and that would help me gather research on my
audience. I learned that the majority of people were between 16-18, living in a
house with 4 people, liked to socialised, lived in the ts7 area, were
interested in reading magazines such as Chat, were taking a range of courses
are college and aimed to go to a range of University’s (most of which are in
the top 20) and preferred a formal magazine. The information I found shows me
that my magazine should include help with university choices and be presented
in a formal manner. The questionnaiure included demographics (gender/age) in order for me to understand my audience more. Already known knowledge that my target audience are typically 15.25 and ABC1 class, I can already assume that my target audience are strivers and experiencers. For strivers shopping is a social activity and an opportunity to display to other people their ability to buy. Questionnaires are positive as they can show trends quickly and simply if close questions and are able to combine open and closed questions for a range of results. The problems are that they are time consuming and the completion rate can be low.
